View Ridge Elementary PTA

Hit a Home Run in Reading Program
Who: View Ridge Students participate and the Aquasox provide the prizes.
What: The Hit a Home Run in Reading program is a 4-week-long reading program. Students keep track of their reading on the tracking sheet provided by the Aquasox. As they meet their weekly reading goals (set by their teacher), they receive a prize.
Past prizes have been: a bookmark, zoo pass, free personal pizza, and Webbly tattoo. The final prize is always a free ticket to an Aquasox game for the student (family members are able to purchase discounted tickets to attend the game with their student). View Ridge will have a night where we will attend an Aquasox game as a group (children must be accompanied by an adult).
When: This year, we are starting on March 6th. The program will be complete by March 31st.
Our View Ridge Aquasox Game night will be on Friday, June 16th.
Where: Students participate in the reading portion of the program at home and school. The game night is at the Aquasox Stadium here in Everett.
Why: To encourage reading and to support our community by attending a game for our local baseball team!
